   Welcome Marketing

With the world of marketing growing and expanding every year, there are new techniques and plans being created. So what is opt-in marketing and what are the benefits of it? Well, opt-in marketing is basically the opposite of direct mail marketing. It is taking a twist on unsolicited advertising.

People actually come to you; they tell you that they want to receive information by newsletter, email or possibly through phone calls. Think about it, how much time and money do you waste by sending information to people who are simply not interested?

By narrowing down your target audience in this way, you can reduce the amount of wasted time and effort that goes into unsolicited marketing.

Another great benefit is that your customers can actually ask you for the information that they want to receive. A lot of marketing material is unnecessary or unwanted. By being directly linked to your customers you can make sure that you tell them exactly what they want to hear.

By targeting people in this way, you can make sure that the correct people are being contacted. There is nothing worse than receiving junk mail that is totally inappropriate to you and your lifestyle. Not only is this annoying but it also makes you feel that the company has done little to understand you personally.

Opt-in marketing works exceptionally well with internet marketing. You can have potential customers sign up for emails, newsletters and more that will explain your product to them.

As marketing continues to increase, consumers are becoming more reluctant to listen to what companies have to say.  They are overwhelmed with information and often decide not to listen to anything that is being said. Worse still, companies that are seen as being over-pushy will get a bad reputation and discurage otherwise keen customers.

This is why giving your target customers an option is a great idea. You need to give them the option to opt out of emails and newsletters. You also need to remain there for them even after they have bought. People feel like they are harassed with advertisements and once they buy they can not get a customer service rep for anything. Be there for your customers; you need them more than they need you.
